Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based certificate course led by trauma-informed registered nurse mental health professionals at Limestone City Mental Health. The course equips individuals with the practical knowledge and skills to provide support to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental health, or a mental health crisis until professional help is available.

Key Objectives

• Recognize signs of mental health decline or crisis.

• Greater empathy, and connection/ decreased stigma towards people with lived or living experience.

• Use of effective communication with individuals who have a decline in mental health or are in crisis.

• Increased confidence in providing help to others.
